The Track

Nine Vicious released "OPM BABI A RAT" on SoundCloud overnight on May 9 into May 10, 2026 — hours after calling producer OPM Babi a rat from the Rolling Loud Verizon Stage in Orlando. The track runs roughly nine minutes, is produced by patrick, and is being shared across SoundCloud, YouTube, TikTok, and X — frequently retitled in fan reuploads as "OPM BABI A RAT (CARTI DISS)."

"OPM BABI A RAT" · Nine Vicious · prod. patrick · 9:15

The official surfacing of the full version comes via Kurrco's X post, which confirms the 9-minute length and the headline lyric:

"Carti, you got a rat on your side. I think you need to do something about it."

Direct. Carti named by name. The rat accusation put back on Carti's desk with a demand to handle it. That is the line that changes the beef's shape.

The "prod. patrick" credit matters too. Patrick is the same producer behind "Rolling Loud," the track from Nine Vicious's April 2026 album EMOTIONS — the one that opens with the tag "rockin' with Patrick." Using Patrick again on the diss is a deliberate signal: this is being filed inside the EMOTIONS run, not bolted on as a one-off SoundCloud loosie. It is meant to live in Nine's catalog. The credit also reads as a quiet allegiance choice on the production side — OPM Babi has produced for Nine in the past (notably the 2025 leak "PTSO"), and Patrick now occupies that slot.

Nine minutes is the other statement. The average rage track runs two to three. SoundCloud loosies are shorter still. Putting nine minutes of verses on a diss forces the listener to stay with the accusation, removes any reading that the artist was venting in a moment, and signals that the case is being built rather than the insult being thrown. Two minutes is a meme. Nine minutes is a record.

The reception has been fast. The fan reupload by SoundCloud user fentanvl, at a shorter 2:31 cut, crossed 70,000 plays within 48 hours. YouTube reactor videos and TikTok lyric clips for the full version went up by the morning of May 10. KTT2 had a dedicated thread by that afternoon.

A diss track with a Carti callout is a different category from a beef with a producer. OPM Babi is in Carti's production rotation across Whole Lotta Red (2020), Music (2025), and the Carti-affiliated camps around Homixide Gang and Skaiwater. By naming Carti directly and asking him to handle his guy, Nine is asking the most powerful figure in this corner of underground rap to either confirm OPM Babi or cut him loose. A non-response reads as either dismissal or tacit acknowledgment. Neither is comfortable for the Opium camp.

Track: "OPM BABI A RAT" Artist: Nine Vicious Producer: patrick Length: ~9 minutes Released: May 9–10, 2026 (SoundCloud)

This is one of those records that exists because the artist who made it has nowhere else to put it. Nine Vicious does not have a major-label PR rollout for a diss track. He has SoundCloud, X, and the speed of the audience watching the beef in real time. That is the entire infrastructure under one of the loudest music moments of the week.
